I hope the next CBA fixes this playoff seeding nonsense. Rooting for the Canes and Leafs to both miss the playoffs due to the pick but it's practically impossible bc 3rd in the Atlantic is a guaranteed playoff spot despite only being good enough for 7th in the Metro and 9th or 10th in the conference.

Just take the top 8 per conference and be done. If you aren't top 8 after 82 games, 30 of which are against the other conference entirely, tough luck. With only 8 teams per division anyway it would take a division running the table for the other division champ to miss the playoffs (which may not even be mathematically possible).

I'm going to lose my mind if the Rangers miss the playoffs on another Olli Jokinen type incident if they have more pts than whoever is 3rd in the Atlantic.

Great win considering no Buch and Kreider looked really slow and weak --- hope he is not going to make others sick.

Kids played well tonite, good to indoctrinate them to this kind of excitement in the crosstown rivalry and late season hockey in general.

Trouba really playing physical hockey --- good to see! Excellent hit! Didn't realize until later that it was Pageau's pass that got Dal Colle blown up.

Can't believe that Rangers actually set record for road wins, very impressive!

I think Denis Potvin did that Trouba hit 3 times a game

Future just keeps getting brighter and brighter. Love to see the bottom 6 factor in on the score sheet because come playoff time, theyre the ones we look to for some added support when the going gets tough.

Cant help but keep thinking about next year.

Also cant help but dream a wet dream about getting Barkov.

We are only 4 points back of the playoffs with 3 games in hand. Boys we might just do this

Just another reminder we should already be way ahead of the Jackets, but you know loser points

At this point it would suck to miss the playoffs after this great run since the team really seems to have finally gelled.
Still, asking your goalie to stand on his head night after night is not a recipe for wins.

my dream of both Carolina and Toronto missing the playoffs is still alive, although surprised at Leafs beating TB last night

I thought he had his best game of the season last night. The hit was epic but aside from that he just played better. Skjei may have been the problem all along hopefully

Yeah, its unfortunate for MDC but what are Troubas other options? He grabs him(penalty), tries to hit in on the side, probably takes out a leg(penalty) or he lets him go by for a breakaway.

Smith and Truoba can be the new bash bros for the rest of the season. Smith over Skjei on defense right now is a big upgrade

this is what we have to remember about Trouba

he's brings an element that we don't have with anyone else

opposing teams should have their heads up when he's out there

Smith has found the fountain of youth or something, he hasn’t been nearly as bad as he used to be lol. Being a forward probably helped him I gather, hes playing with some confidence now
